Frybread Recipe

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons chilled butter or margarine
  • 1 cup milk
  • Vegetable oil

How to make Fry Bread

  1. – Mix the flour and baking powder in a mixing bowl.
  2. – Using a cheese grater, grate the butter into the flour mixture.
  3. – Mix it with your fingers until the mixture crumbles. Add the milk until you can form a ball with the dough.
  4. – Dust your counter with flour. Roll out the dough to a 1-inch thickness. Cut the dough into 2 1/2-inch squares.
  5. – Fill an electric frying pan with 2 inches of vegetable oil and heat over medium heat. When the oil is hot, fry each square until it turns golden brown on each side.
  6. – Remove the bread with tongs and set it on a paper towel or brown bag to cool.
  7. – Add Golden Syrup and Enjoi !!
